Well to start off with things, this blog was supposed to start off in way early this year but due to a lot of issues and lack of ideas, this project kept getting stalled. But finally I had the motivation to start things off with and get it done. This is supposed to be a monthly newsletter but lets see how it goes. Pop culture is the thing i'm comfortable writing the most in as well as most of my time is spent in the area itself, so this topic the the perfect thing for me to start a newsletter with.
Starting off with the name Chiya-Pop is the most basic anagram you can get for Chiya Puff where the term pop is included so i guess that makes up for it. In this blog we generally will be talking about movies, music, art and basically every other thing that I have my interest on. Talking about me i have a lot of interests so this blog isn't gonna be all specific about something though. Well as its said the journey with the same road is always boring, guess this is the most interesting way to keep the blog interactive.
The pop culture we grew up with is very different from what we experience now due to a excess exposure to internet. Well we shape what we experience but still the differences we can talk about now and then is actually a lot. Back then TVs had a lot of influence over the pop culture market and we saw products being oriented for the TV market, as much as we talk about art and passion driving the culture the another important aspect driving the pop culture trend is money. Art produced may be independent but the core reason behind it will be to make money. The change we have seen over the years is a very interesting trend graph. For me though internet access from a very young age has brought a lot of changes in my personality and I guess that reflects through my taste in movies and music— needless to say I am now far from my teenage years and the media I consume have changed as well so this will be a interesting personal experiment as well.
Chiya-Pop Guff will be the monthly reviews, finds and discussion of the monthly finds that I come across and like or dislike it to an extent. Or just maybe a curated list for you all to come and get recommendations from really haven't decided on that spectrum yet. But overall I think it will be a fun thing to be writing on.
